Meet Reverend Willie..
Reverend Willie Coot, a character born of my imagination, is a robust Afro-American man who pastors a white clapboard Baptist church deep in a rural valley of Tennessee. He is on fire for God and presents his sermons with humor and sincerity as refreshing as a glass of cold lemonade at a hot humid Sunday after church pic-nic. Reverend Willie incorporates the human experience of life with its struggles and rewards as he delivers the word in a non preachy fashion, using analogies to reach the heart of his congregation in a simple fashion. He is a man of faith and encouragement who can laugh at himself and the world, then carry on strong and true with passion. It is my hope that you will enjoy Reverend Willie's Sermons, and also that they will touch your life in a special way as they did mine in writing them. His messages are based on what I have learned along life's path from many souls. These people comprised the essence of what he's about.
